

On the 4th-6th of January myself and the other students in my class were given the Young People employment brief. Our teacher explained this project to us and its aim and what we had to produce at the end of this project which was a completed 5 minute video. We was also given a task to re-write the brief to show understanding of this project.
On the 11th-15th of Janurary myself and my class members were shown examples of videos offering help or advice on a particular subject. For example Barclays life skills offering a range of life skills needed later in life. We was set a task to conduct secondary research on videos as well as articles of videos that are similar to what we will be producing.
On the 18th-25th of Janurary I had to pitch my three ideas of YP employment choices to the class. Through pitching three of my ideas, my class members was filling out a SWOT analysis of each of my ideas.
On the 27th of January our chosen ideas had to be finalised and presented to the class.
On the 1st of February we was given a task to pre plan our idea, draw our storyboard and write up a script for the video.
From 15th of February I started filming for my chosen idea “Don’t let your past determine your future”. I filmed scenes inside my school and around local places.
On the 24th of February I had gotten all the footage need to assemble my YP employment video and started editing on Final Cut Pro. I also chose the various I instrumentals I will be using as sound for my video.
On the 2nd of March myself as well as members of my class had to hand in our final edit of our YP employment videos to our teachers.
On the 9th of March On the 11th of April myself and the class were given an evaluation to complete for our YP employment project.
